About the Marshmallow Dash - 5K, 10K, 10-Miler, Half Marathon
The course runs along the beach path at Alamitos Beach, an open shared path where you will pass pedestrians and cyclists as you go. The route is flat and hugs the shoreline, with out-and-back laps depending on your distance. Markings at the turns keep you on track. There is a water station on the course, and the finish line has water, electrolytes, gels, and fruit.
Packet pickup is the evening before at Sports Basement Long Beach, with race-morning pickup also available at the start. The race launches from the beach parking lot area, where paid hourly parking is available; street parking nearby is free. A gear check at the registration tent lets you leave a bag with staff while you run.
