About the Día de Muertos - Viva la Vida - 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon
The course follows the paved beach path along Ocean Boulevard, so the surface is smooth the whole way and the water is right there beside you. Several distance options mean people spread out across the morning, and the Day of the Dead theme brings out costumes ranging from marigold crowns to full face paint. A costume contest runs alongside the race itself.
Bib pickup happens race morning at the Race Ready Athletics tent on site, so there is no separate trip the day before. The start area is on the beach path, with gear storage available at the tent if you need somewhere to stash a bag.
