About the Love Run - 5K, 10K, 10-Miler, Half Marathon
The course runs along the beach path at Alamitos Beach, out and back, with the ocean right there the whole way. Shorter distances do the out-and-back once; longer ones repeat it. The path is shared with other beach users, so expect the occasional cyclist or pedestrian. Flat and paved, it is a straightforward route with the water doing most of the work scenery-wise.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at a local sporting goods store, with bib pickup also available race morning at the start. Parking in the beach lot is paid by the hour, with a phone app accepted; street parking nearby is free. After you finish, there is water, electrolytes, gels, and fruit snacks at the finish line.
