About the Long Beach Sweetheart's Run - Valentine's 5K, 10K, & Half Marathon
The course runs along the waterfront near Granada Beach, with the ocean close enough that you feel it the whole way. It follows Ocean Boulevard and stays flat, and dogs are welcome on course, so expect a few four-legged participants mixed in. The half marathon starts earlier than the shorter distances, giving that field some quiet morning miles before things get livelier.
Race-morning bib pickup opens early at the start area near the beach lot entrance. Street parking nearby is free, and paid beach lot parking is available by app or kiosk. At the finish there are snacks, music, a vendor village, and a discount at the café adjacent to the dog beach.
