About the Sundae Runday
The course runs through Seward Park along the shores of Lake Washington, traffic-free and stroller-friendly. Dogs are welcome on the route, and there is a whipped cream station at the halfway point. The whole thing is built around the ice cream sundae bar waiting at the finish, with toppings for runners and a treat line for dogs too.
A costume contest runs before the start, and there is a kids' area with games and crafts. Registration and packet pickup open race morning, so you can arrive, get set up, and still have time before the first wave goes off.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Sundae Runday has been held every year since at least 2019. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
