About the SMHS PAC and HSEP Gumbo Run 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run

The course starts and finishes at Scotlandville Magnet High School, on the north side of Baton Rouge. The route is a neighborhood run, the kind that keeps you close to campus throughout. Gumbo is waiting at the finish line, which is a genuinely good reason to push through the last stretch. Awards go several divisions deep for both distances.

Parking is near the gym, with overflow across the street on Central Road. Race-day registration opens in front of the school, and there are guest speakers and a group warm-up before the first wave goes out.
