About the Side Pockets .5K BeerRun for KHS
This is a short, flat run through Wichita that benefits the Kansas Humane Society. The distance is brief enough that most people finish without breaking much of a sweat, and dogs are welcome to join their owners on the course. The whole thing wraps up quickly, leaving plenty of time for the post-race drinks and prize drawing.
Packet pickup is the evening before at Side Pockets, the bar that anchors the event. On race morning, check-in opens well before the start, and beverages are waiting at the finish line. The prize drawing happens shortly after everyone is done.
