About the Tanker Trot
The course runs on the active airfield at McConnell Air Force Base, with aircraft parked close enough that you can see them in real detail. That access is the whole point of the race. The surface is the ramp itself, flat and open. No water is available on the course, by design, because debris on an active airfield is a safety issue, so come ready for that.
Base access rules mean registration closes before race day. Spectators can come, but they need to meet the same ID requirements as runners and must be listed in advance. After the race, runners and their guests can move directly into the airshow through a dedicated entry lane.
