About the Planet Fitness Wichita OctoberFit Races 5K/10K
The course runs along Museum Boulevard near a workout park, looping out and back to the same start and finish. The surroundings are park-side, with the Wichita Art Museum just to the east. Both distance options follow the same well-marked route with guides on course. There is also a short children's run before the main races begin.
Packet pickup runs through the week before at a Planet Fitness location on the east side of the city, with morning-of pickup available at the start. Parking is at the start area itself or in a Botanica lot just next door. A costume contest runs before the gun, open to individuals and couples, with a cash gift card for the winner.
