About the Sault International Festival of Races
The centerpiece of this festival is a run across the International Bridge, with views of the Soo Locks, the St. Mary's Rapids, and passing freighters. The bridge crossing has a pace requirement enforced, so come ready to move. A second day of racing stays closer to the ground, with a half marathon and a shorter run starting and finishing near downtown Sault Sainte Marie.
If you are crossing from Canada, the bridge closes for a window around race time, so build in extra time for potential traffic. A passport is not required on the course itself, but those entering from Canada will need one to get into the US. Carry an ID on race day. Runners doing both days register for each event separately.
