About the Kokosing Alberici Traylor Engineers Day 5K
The course starts at a boat launch on Ashmun Bay and follows a trail named for a local figure before looping back. Nearly the entire route is soft surface, a mix of gravel road and snowmobile trail, so road shoes with some grip are worth considering. Along the way you get open water views, a look at where the canal begins, and the bridge to Canada visible in the distance.
Packet pickup happens on the evening before the race at an announced location, then again on race morning near the boat launch parking lot. After the race, there is water, Gatorade, bananas, watermelon, chips, and fruit snacks at the finish. Age group and overall awards are handed out on site, with chip timing and results posted through Yooper Running Company.
