About the Santa Marie 5K
The course heads east along Portage Avenue, tracing the river with historical landmarks visible along the way, then loops through Aune-Osborn Campground before turning back. Runners can use a coned-off bike lane or the sidewalk, and the most efficient line takes the bike lane out and the sidewalk home. Prepare for cold, possibly snowy morning air.
The start and finish are at the Pullar Stadium Ice Arena, with packet pickup inside the arena lobby beforehand. Indoor restrooms are available inside the stadium. Parking is off-street near the stadium, with overflow available at the Soo Locks Boat Tours lots nearby.
