About the Salisbury Rail Trail Road Race
The course runs along the Salisbury Rail Trail, the kind of converted rail corridor that tends to be flat underfoot and open to the surroundings. Rail trail races move in a line rather than a loop, so the scenery shifts as you go rather than repeating.
The race is organized by the local Lions Club, and proceeds go toward community programs in the area. Parking is available at Lions Park, which sits next to the Hilton Senior Center on Lafayette Road, though spaces there are limited, so arriving early helps.
