About the April Fools 4 Miler - Winners Circle Running Club

The course is certified and chip-timed, and the organizer describes it as fast and flat, which around Salisbury usually means roads with little elevation to slow you down. Age group awards run deep through the field, and there is a team competition among running clubs, with a prize going to whichever club brings the most registered runners.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at Winners Circle Sports Bar, with race-morning registration available as a backup. The race benefits a local charity called The Pettengill House, along with other local causes.

Common Questions About the April Fools 4 Miler - Winners Circle Running Club

Will I finish last at the April Fools 4 Miler - Winners Circle Running Club?

Almost certainly not. Half the 4 Miles field finished slower than 38:36, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:15:48, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the April Fools 4 Miler - Winners Circle Running Club a good first 4 Miles?

A field of 318 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 4 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the April Fools 4 Miler - Winners Circle Running Club?

The 4 Miles winner ran 19:10 while the median finisher took 38:36. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
