About the Ryan Bowers You Are Not Alone Suicide Prevention Run Walk

The course runs along the Ocean Beach coastline, so you are on the water the whole way. The route is on road and flat along the shore. Skating is welcome alongside running and walking, which gives the start area a different energy than most road races. The race is named for Ryan Bowers and organized around suicide prevention and mental health awareness.

After the run, there is a mental health fair with local organizations and support services set up for participants. Hodad's, the burger spot that Ocean Beach locals know well, is involved in putting the event together and is present on the day.
