About the 9th Annual Run4Sharks & Ocean Health Fair 5k Fundraiser
The course runs along the bike path in Long Beach with the ocean in view. It is an out-and-back on flat pavement, starting near a spot the organizers use for monthly beach cleanups. The path stays open to cyclists, dogs, and other beachgoers during the race, so expect company out there.
The start area doubles as an ocean health fair, with booths covering sharks, ocean ecosystems, and fitness. The race supports Shark Stewards, a nonprofit focused on protecting sharks and ocean health. Race-morning registration is available at the start.
