About the RUN ROCKAWAY BEACH NYC HALF MARATHON (TUNE UP) AND 5K
The course runs along the Rockaway Beach boardwalk, starting and finishing at the same street on the boardwalk. The half marathon does a couple of out-and-back loops heading west then east, so you cover the same stretch more than once. The 5K is a single out-and-back on that same stretch. Flat, open, and exposed to whatever the ocean is doing that morning.
Water and Gatorade are out on the course at several points. The start area is right on the boardwalk, with bib pickup and the race start staggered within the same morning window.
