About the RUN JEKYLL

Run Jekyll spreads its races across a weekend, with shorter distances on the first day and longer ones on the second, so you can double up if one race is not enough. The courses wind through Jekyll Island's coastal landscape, past nature trails and historic landmarks, with scenery that makes you forget how your legs feel.

Packet pickup runs the evening before the first race day and again on the morning of each race at the Jekyll Island Club, which also serves as the host hotel. The start line is on Stable Road.

Common Questions About the RUN JEKYLL

Will I finish last at the RUN JEKYLL?

Almost certainly not. Half the 21K field finished slower than 2:19:05, and the last recorded finisher came in around 4:22:46, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the RUN JEKYLL a good first 21K?

A field of 376 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 21K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the RUN JEKYLL?

The 21K winner ran 1:20:29 while the median finisher took 2:19:05. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
