About the Run Forrest Run 5K
The course starts on Bay Street in front of a downtown hotel, runs toward the waterfront, then crosses the Woods Memorial Bridge over the Beaufort River and back. There is a turnaround and water stop on the far side of the bridge. The bridge crossing is the highlight, open and breezy, with water on both sides.
Packet pickup runs the day before at a local running store on Boundary Street. On race morning, pickup moves to the start line at the corner of Bay Street and Newcastle Street, near the marina. That lot closes for festival vendors race morning, so street parking and paid lots around downtown are the options; carpooling helps.
