About the Run 4 Their Lives Lynchburg 5k Run/Walk

This race raises awareness and funds around human trafficking prevention, organized by a local nonprofit. The course runs on and around the Liberty University campus in Lynchburg, starting near the indoor track and natatorium. It draws participants who are there as much to advocate as to race, and many runners come with their own fundraising pages.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at the Liberty University indoor track facility parking lot, paired with a health and wellness expo. Food vendors and family activities are part of that night, and a kids fun run for younger children takes place during the same window. Race-morning virtual bib printing is also an option if you miss the pickup.

Common Questions About the Run 4 Their Lives Lynchburg 5k Run/Walk

Will I finish last at the Run 4 Their Lives Lynchburg 5k Run/Walk?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 33:20, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:10:50, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Run 4 Their Lives Lynchburg 5k Run/Walk a good first 5K?

How competitive is the Run 4 Their Lives Lynchburg 5k Run/Walk?

The 5K winner ran 16:13 while the median finisher took 33:20. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
