About the Lynchburg Turkey Trot

The start and finish sit on Langhorne Road outside E.C. Glass High School, and the route winds through the surrounding neighborhood streets before a U-turn brings you back to the finish. The roads are mostly residential, with gentle turns keeping things interesting. All proceeds support HumanKind, a local social services organization, so the race carries a purpose beyond the run itself.

Packet pickup runs on two separate days the week of the race, both at the HumanKind Campus off VES Road, with drive-thru pickup available. There is no race-day pickup, so plan ahead. Parking near the start is split: some lots along the course are closed until the roads reopen, but the high school is accessible from Memorial Avenue throughout the morning.
