About the I AM Woman 5K

This is a charity race tied to a regional hospital foundation, raising money for pediatric and newborn care equipment. The course is a road 5K starting and finishing at a cancer center on the east side of Lynchburg. The organizer copy does not describe the route itself, so what stands out most is the cause behind it rather than the terrain.

Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at a local running shop on Rivermont Avenue. If you cannot make it in person, packets can be mailed to you for a small additional fee. Race-morning pickup is also available at the start area.
