About the RRB NYC FATHERS DAY HALF & 5K
Both courses start and finish on the boardwalk at the same street. The half marathon runs a couple of loops west along the beach to a far turnaround, then back east past the start before turning around again. The shorter option is a single out-and-back along the same stretch. Underfoot it is boardwalk and beach road, with the ocean alongside the whole way.
Packet pickup runs the morning of, at the start area on the boardwalk before the gun goes off. Public parking is available in a lot right at the start. Water and Gatorade are out at plenty of points along the course, so you are never far from a stop.
