About the RESCUE CHALLENGE 911 5K Color Run & Walk
The course runs on paved surfaces through Stony Creek Metropark, so the footing is smooth throughout. Runners pass through stations where volunteers blast colored powder, though you can step around them if you prefer to stay clean. The event draws families with strollers alongside people running for time, and local first responders are on hand to meet before and after the race.
Check-in, packet pickup, and same-day registration all open on race morning before the start. After finishing, there is a post-race celebration with food, a raffle, and a final group color burst to close out the morning.
