About the Queen Anne's Revenge Ultra

The course runs through River Park North, looping the same trail multiple times. You see the same landmarks on each pass, which some runners use to track how they are feeling and others find mentally tough by the end. The terrain is park trail, not technical, and the route is the same whether you go solo or join a relay team.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at a Fleet Feet location in Greenville, with race-morning pickup opening when the park does. There is an overflow parking lot nearby on Mumford Road. The race opens with a mandatory course briefing before the start, so plan to arrive with time to settle in.

Common Questions About the Queen Anne's Revenge Ultra

Will I finish last at the Queen Anne's Revenge Ultra?

Almost certainly not. Half the 50K field finished slower than 5:45:40, and the last recorded finisher came in around 8:04:28, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Queen Anne's Revenge Ultra a good first 50K?

It is a small race (47 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 50K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Queen Anne's Revenge Ultra?

The 50K winner ran 3:53:24 while the median finisher took 5:45:40. That spread points to a relatively quick field, so expect a competitive front end.
