About the Pound The Pavement 5K Color Fun Run/Walk
This is an untimed color run benefiting cancer support in the Bangor area. Participants start in white and pick up bursts of colored powder at each checkpoint along the road course, finishing well-stained. A kids' dash runs the same route, open to children young enough to still need a grown-up nearby. Cancer survivors can participate free of charge.
Packet pickup happens the day before at Sea Dog, a local restaurant that also hosts the post-race gathering. Race-morning pickup is available for those who cannot make the earlier window, though the organizers recommend coming then. After the finish, the party continues at the same spot, with music and a chance to compare how thoroughly covered in color you got.
