About the Portland Sea Dogs Mother's Day 5K
The course starts outside the Portland Expo building and winds through city streets before cutting through Deering Oaks park, then finishes on the field at Hadlock Field, crossing the warning track and ending near the home dugout on the infield. The Sea Dogs mascot leads the field out, and the top finishers throw out a ceremonial first pitch at a future game. Proceeds support breast cancer research.
Packet pickup is available at Hadlock Field the evening before the race and again the following morning, with race-morning pickup also offered. The organizers suggest picking up early to avoid lines on race day. A kids run goes off before the main event, free to enter.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2026 results, this is a big field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Portland Sea Dogs Mother's Day 5K has been held every year since at least 2020. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
