About the Polar Bear Run 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon
The course follows the paved beach path along Ocean Boulevard, so the surface is smooth the whole way. It runs close to the water, which means open skies and a coastal breeze on a winter morning. Several distance options share the same start area, so the field spreads across a range of goals. Pedestrian traffic on the path is part of the deal, and the course etiquette reflects that.
Bib pickup and same-day registration happen race morning at the Race Ready Athletics tent before the start waves go off. Street parking nearby is free, and a beach lot is within reach for a small hourly fee paid at a machine. There is a finish line party with music after the race, and awards ceremonies for overall podium finishers wrap up before late morning.
