About the Not Scared of Justice Halloween 5K
This is a Halloween trail run through Monongah Park, following the West Fork River. The terrain is natural and the surroundings are wooded and riverside, so expect dirt underfoot rather than pavement. Costumes appear to be part of the spirit of the morning, and the proceeds go toward Marion County Teen Court, a juvenile justice program run largely by teen volunteers.
The race starts at Monongah Park, and snacks and drinks are available at the finish. The cause behind it is specific: the Teen Court program uses peer volunteers to help juveniles connect with community resources outside the formal court system.
