About the Montessori Mavericks Pumpkin Run
The course starts at the school on Palmetto Street and winds through the surrounding neighborhood streets before cutting through Timrod Park, where a trail section crosses a bridge near the tennis and pickleball courts. The route is otherwise on pavement, and the terrain reads as gently residential throughout, without any notable climbing.
Packet pickup is race-morning only, at the school, and wraps up before the first wave goes off. Parking is on site, with volunteers and police directing traffic. After the races, the school hosts a chili cook-off on the grounds, so there is reason to stick around once you finish.
