About the Run Like A Nut
The courses run through older residential and commercial streets in Florence on roads that stay flat the whole way, which makes for honest, uninterrupted running from start to finish. All distances leave from the same address on Elm Street, so the start area has a shared, unhurried feel before the faster and slower waves separate.
Packet pickup is on race morning at the start line, so there is no separate trip the day before. Parking is free and fills on a first-come basis. After you finish, the SC Pecan Music and Food Festival is just a short walk from the finish, with live music and food already going.

The Run Like A Nut has been held every year since at least 2015. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
