About the MLK 5K 2026
The race starts and finishes at MLK Park, a spot chosen deliberately for its connection to the day being honored. The course is a road run through the surrounding neighborhood, flat enough that most people find their legs early. The event is put on by a local all-boys public school as a fundraiser, and that school-community feel carries through the morning.
Packet pickup happens at the school itself on the two days before race day, in the back lot near the tennis courts. If you miss those windows, there is a race-morning option as well. The park start means parking is nearby, and the setup is straightforward enough that you do not need much lead time.
