Who It Suits
This suits you if you want a consistent weekly reason to run in San Antonio and actually like the idea of coffee or a beer afterward as part of the routine. If you are training for a specific race and need structured workouts or a dedicated pace group every single day, this crew's social-first format may not scratch that itch on its own.

What a Run With Them Is Like
Monday evenings, the group meets at Roadmap Brewing at 7 PM for a 5k route on urban streets and River Walk paths, with some regulars running faster or tacking on extra distance.
Saturday mornings at McAllister Park, the group splits by pace and distance at the start, so you are not locked into one speed or one group. Sunday mornings, they run just under 4 miles from Mila Coffee through Brackenridge Park paths. Every run format has walkers in the mix.
Your First Run
Show up to whichever run fits your schedule best - Monday at Roadmap Brewing at 723 N Alamo St, Saturday at McAllister Park, or Sunday at Mila Coffee, all starting at their posted times.
On Saturday, pace groups split at the beginning, so you tell them where you are and go with people at your level rather than spending the whole run trying to keep up. Showing up solo is completely normal here - this is a social club, and people come specifically to meet others. You do not need to register or pay anything before you arrive.

Common Questions About In The Loop Run Crew
Do I have to pay or sign up before showing up?
No. It is free and there is no membership requirement. Just show up at the right location and time.
What if I can only walk, or need to take walk breaks?
Walkers are explicitly welcome at every run. You are not going to be the only one.
Will I be holding anyone up if I am slow?
On Saturdays the group splits by pace and distance right at the start, so slower runners are not chasing a faster pack. Monday and Sunday runs also have a mix of paces, so there is no single group you have to keep up with.
What happens after the run?
Monday runs end at Roadmap Brewing, so a post-run beer is built right into the location. Saturday sometimes continues to Theory Coffee Co. or Second Pitch Beer Co., and Sunday typically wraps up at Mila Coffee where you already started.
Can I come to just one of the three weekly runs, or do I have to commit to all of them?
Each run is its own standalone meetup. Come to whichever day works for you - Monday, Saturday, Sunday, or any combination.
Where this comes from: Club details come from each club’s own channels (their site, Meetup, Strava and social posts) and are checked by hand. Group runs move, so confirm the meeting spot on the club’s latest post before you head out. Last updated July 2026.
