About the Miles That Matter 5K
The course runs through Martin Luther King Park on the east side of San Antonio. It is a timed road race open to runners and walkers alike, and strollers are welcome as long as they line up toward the back. The event is put on by a foundation focused on supporting women and girls, so there is real purpose behind the entry fee.
Packet pickup is available at the foundation's office on Wurzbach Road on the two evenings before the race, with race-morning pickup at the park as a fallback. After the finish, local vendors and refreshments are on hand, along with photo opportunities and space for families to hang around.
