Huntsville earned its Rocket City nickname in labs and launch rooms, but runners have been claiming it as their own since the early 1970s. The city's running culture spreads wide: greenways along Aldridge Creek and the Tennessee River waterfront, the championship cross country course at John Hunt Park, and the rustic Monte Sano trails used by locals as the area's signature off-road venue.
Downtown pub runs rotate through Five Points and Twickenham, spilling out of brewery hubs like Campus No. 805 and Stovehouse.
