About the Rocket City Marathon
All distances start and finish at the Von Braun Center, right in the heart of Huntsville. The marathon and half marathon share stretches of the same course, passing through the Botanical Gardens and past the US Space & Rocket Center before returning downtown. The course is flat and moves through a mix of neighborhoods and landmarks that give the city some character.
The expo and packet pickup run across the two days before the races, held inside the Von Braun Center. Race-morning pickup is available but must be arranged in advance. Several parking garages and city lots sit within walking distance of the start, and arriving early is worth it, especially if earlier races have already affected downtown street access.
