About the Liberty Energy 5K

This is a run and walk through Denver that doubles as a fundraiser, with registration fees going directly to a foundation that supports clean-cooking businesses in sub-Saharan Africa. The charitable mission is front and center, so the atmosphere tends to draw people who are there as much for the cause as for the miles.

After the race, the area fills out with a beer garden, food trucks, live entertainment, and face painting. It reads more like a community gathering than a finish-line area, so there is plenty of reason to linger once you are done running.
