About the Tiger Prowl 5K
The Tiger Prowl 5K runs through the neighborhood roads around Lakewood High School, where tree cover keeps things comfortable. The course is road throughout, without significant climbing. It is a school foundation fundraiser, so the entry fee goes directly to student programs at the school, covering theater, athletics, music groups, and extracurricular clubs.
Bib pickup happens at the high school in the days before the race, with a race-morning option as well. Parking is on school grounds, in the lots on either side of the building. The start is right there at the school.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Tiger Prowl 5K has been held every year since at least 2022. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
