About the Let Freedom Run 5k/10k - Louisville
The course runs through Louisville's trail system on a mix of paved surface and gravel single-track. The route has out-and-back stretches where runners share the trail in both directions, so there is some weaving involved. The shorter distance is mostly a large loop, while the longer option covers more of the same trail network. Everything starts and finishes at the community recreation center.
Packet pickup happens the evening before at a location announced closer to race day. Parking is right next to the start and finish at the recreation center lot, so there is not much of a walk. The event is cup-free at the finish, so bring a water bottle. There is a food drive raffle on race day: bring several non-perishable items for a local food bank and you are entered.
