About the Langhorne American Legion Veteran’s Day 5K

This Veterans Day 5K winds through a residential borough neighborhood, raising money for disabled veterans and related charities. The route is described as a neighborhood run, so expect streets lined with houses rather than trail or track. A shorter fun run option covers less ground for those who want a lighter morning out.

There is a water station on the course. Food and drinks are set out at the finish. Military runners get a discounted entry with ID, which fits the spirit of the event.

Common Questions About the Langhorne American Legion Veteran’s Day 5K

Will I finish last at the Langhorne American Legion Veteran’s Day 5K?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 28:01, and the last recorded finisher came in around 50:31, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Langhorne American Legion Veteran’s Day 5K a good first 5K?

It is a small race (70 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Langhorne American Legion Veteran’s Day 5K?

The 5K winner ran 18:06 while the median finisher took 28:01. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
