About the Homeless for the Holidays 5K Run / 2.5K Walk L.A.
The course runs along the Crystal Springs Equestrian Trail inside Griffith Park, a flat, scenic stretch that works equally well as a timed run or a self-paced walk. The surroundings are park greenery rather than pavement and traffic, and the trail atmosphere keeps the morning unhurried without feeling sleepy.
The lot at the venue has free parking. After finishing, there are snacks and refreshments on site. The race benefits the Pennies From Kevan Foundation, which directs funds to local agencies serving people experiencing homelessness and food insecurity in Los Angeles.
