About the HEALY'S PUB AND RUN ROCKAWAY BEACH TURKEY TROT
The course runs along the Rockaway Beach boardwalk, so you have the ocean beside you the whole way. It is flat, open, and exposed to whatever the late-autumn air decides to bring. The start and finish are both at the boardwalk end of the same street, which keeps the layout simple and the crowd concentrated in one spot.
Packet pickup and day-of registration happen at Healy's Pub before the start, which also doubles as the natural gathering point afterward. There is beer at the finish, poured at the pub, so most runners do not wander far once they are done.
