About the Frozen Footrace
The Frozen Footrace runs along the roads of Presque Isle and is paired with a Polar Plunge into Lake Erie. The setting is a peninsula in late autumn, which means the wind off the water is real and the scenery earns it. Several distance options mean you can ease in or go long before the real cold begins.
On-site registration is available, so closed registration is not a reason to stay home. The race feeds directly into the Plunge event, with post-race activity centered around the lakeside and benefiting Special Olympics Pennsylvania.

The Frozen Footrace has been held every year since at least 2024. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 18, 2026.
