About the Foothill Presents: Nightmare on Hart Park Lane 5K

The race runs through Hart Park, a setting that suits a Halloween-day event well. The course is not described as hilly or technical, and the park surroundings keep things accessible for a wide range of runners, from competitive high schoolers running their own separate heats to anyone else who shows up.

Food and drink vendors are on site, and there is a trunk-or-treat set up for kids, so the finish area has more going on than most local races. The whole thing is organized by a high school cross country team, which gives the morning a certain unpolished, genuine energy that a bigger production rarely manages.
