About the DIA DE LOS MUERTOS HALF MARATHON & 5K RUN/WALK
The race runs out of Yokuts Park, a green stretch in Bakersfield with enough room for the kids' races that happen alongside the main events. The Día de los Muertos theme gives the morning a distinct personality that goes beyond most local road races, and the park setting keeps everything contained and easy to navigate.
Packet pickup and race-morning registration both happen at the park before the half marathon goes off, so there is no separate trip the day before. Everything starts and finishes in the same place, which makes it straightforward for families who are bringing younger kids to run the shorter distances.
