About the Flying Turkey 5K/2K Run/Walk

The race starts and finishes at the fairgrounds on Thanksgiving morning. The timed distance heads out onto Crown Point streets on a flat road course, while the shorter option stays inside the fairgrounds park. Dogs on non-retractable leashes are welcome on the course, and strollers are permitted too.

Packet pickup runs on the two evenings before the race at a couple of different spots, with race-morning pickup available as well. Afterward, there are donuts and live music at the fairgrounds. A costume contest runs before the start, and the race benefits local food pantries.
