About the Feet for Justice Run

The course runs through City Park on road, and the organizer describes it as flat and fast. Both distance options follow USATF-certified routes, so the measurements are official. City Park gives you open sightlines and a sense of space, which suits the pace of a road race built around a cause rather than a destination finish line.

The race benefits organizations working against human trafficking, and the entry fee goes directly to that work. There is a post-race meal at the finish. Team categories add a social element, with awards going to the largest and best-dressed teams alongside the fastest.

Common Questions About the Feet for Justice Run

Will I finish last at the Feet for Justice Run?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 38:32, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:18:57, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Feet for Justice Run a good first 5K?

It is a small race (177 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Feet for Justice Run?

The 5K winner ran 19:00 while the median finisher took 38:32. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.

Where can I train for the Feet for Justice Run?

Join a local run club. Rocky Mountain Road Runners, Colorado Harriers, Revolution Running and others in Denver welcome runners of all paces, and a weekly group run is the most reliable way to hold a training block together.
