About the Escape from Turkey Mountain

The course runs through Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness, a rugged patch of oak, hickory, and redbud forest just outside downtown Tulsa. The terrain is genuine trail, with the shorter option staying gentler and the longer course pushing into more technical ground. The park rises well above the Arkansas River, and the tree canopy is thick enough that you feel deep in the woods.

Packet pickup on race morning starts at the lower parking lot off Elwood Avenue, which is also where the race begins and ends. Parking is tight, so arriving early matters. The lot fills, and a late arrival means a walk before you even reach the start.
