About the Erie Runners Club Personal Endurance Classic

This is a timed endurance event rather than a point-to-point race. You choose between a short paved loop and a longer loop that mixes pavement with woodland trail, and weather on the morning often guides that decision. Once you pick your loop, you stick with it. The window runs all day, and you can start when you like, rest, leave, and return.

Finish-Time Stats

Common Questions About the Erie Runners Club Personal Endurance Classic

Will I finish last at the Erie Runners Club Personal Endurance Classic?

Almost certainly not. Half the 1.64 Miles field finished slower than 5:25:34, and the last recorded finisher came in around 11:54:31, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Erie Runners Club Personal Endurance Classic a good first 1.64 Miles?

It is a small race (30 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 1.64 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Erie Runners Club Personal Endurance Classic?

The 1.64 Miles winner ran 1:00:47 while the median finisher took 5:25:34. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
