The course runs along Twenty-Sixth Street through Little Village, one of Chicago's most recognizable Mexican neighborhoods. The street itself carries the character here, lined with storefronts and color, and on this particular morning it doubles as the warm-up act for the Mexican Independence Day Parade that follows. The route is flat urban pavement the whole way. Proceeds support New Life Centers and their work with youth in the neighborhood.
